Aw, Shucks!
My daughter shared this slick way of preparing fresh corn-on-the-cob, with no mess of husks and corn silk all over the place. It's quick and really good, too, and no pot of boiling water to add more humidity to the house either. Try it, works great!
Place 1 ear of corn, still in the husk, in microwave for 3-4 minutes on 'high'. (Add about 4 minutes for each additional ear.)
Use pot holders to remove, then with a very sharp knife, cut stem end off.
From pointed end, squeeze corn out and the silks will stay inside the husk.
Now you're ready to eat!
Enjoy!
